A treat for the plants!

Today was a special treat for the plants.   I've transferred the beans and peas into 3" pots and all of the plants have been able to sit outside in the sun for quite a few hours.   What a lovely day!

Speedy beans

Peas

All the seedlings on the table.   I've planted onions, leeks and zucchini in the spots vacated by the beans and peas.

A bud starting to open on one of the apple trees.

Leeks which have made it through the winter under cover.

Buds appearing on the pear tree.

Buds on the white currant bush.

The sage also made it through the winter (just) with no shelter.

Carrots coming along nicely.

Covered raised bed ready for action (with bunting courtesy of Kathryn and Ian!)

"Fruit tree row" ready for year #2.   Apples, plums, cherries, berries and currants.

I'm afraid to say that these tomato seedlings appear to have given up the ghost.    Not enough light, I think, and then they've wilted horribly after being transplanted.
